CLOSED for Democratic Primary Election Polls

Virginia will have a Democratic primary election on June 17th, 2025.
Wise County’s Voting Equipment will be delivered to all polling locations on Monday, June 16th, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
On June 17th, the Primary Election will be held in all 12 of the Precincts within Wise County. The list of precincts, and their polling places, can be found at the end of this email. Please work with your staff to ensure your facility is prepared for Election Day. I ask that you let us know if you are aware of any construction, parking, or other issues that might impact the usability of your facility on Election Day.
The county’s Voting Machine Custodian will be delivering Voting Equipment to all polling places on Monday June 16th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and recover Voting Equipment from all polling places on Wednesday, June 18th between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If your doors are normally locked during these times, please ensure that they remain unlocked or you have personnel available to allow the delivery/recovery of our Voting Equipment.
Wise County’s Voting Equipment is secured in a large, red security cage. The security cage will remain locked and sealed inside your facility unless in the possession of Officers of Election during Voting Hours. Please do not move this Security Cage!
We ask that you provide the standard number of tables and chairs, as in previous elections.
Officers of Election are required to arrive at their assigned polling place no later than 5:00 a.m. on June 17th. Polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m., again if your doors are normally locked during these times please ensure they remain unlocked to allow for the entry of Officers of Election and Voters. Officers of Election are required to remain in their assigned polling place after the polls close until all Election Results have been ascertained and certified, this process takes no less than an hour.
