NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

OF PROPOSED BOND ISSUE

BY THE TOWN OF BIG STONE GAP, VIRGINIA

 

 

The Council of the Town of Big Stone Gap, Virginia (the "Council") will hold a public hearing on Resolution 11-2018 being a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of General Obligation and Water Revenue Bonds of the Town of Big Stone Gap in a principal amount not to exceed $361,000.  The general purpose for which the bonds are to be issued is to finance the cost of improvements to the Town’s existing Big Cherry Dam, including access road and security improvements as part of the Town’s System, and to pay the cost of issuing the bonds. The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned and at which persons may appear and present their views on the proposed bond issue, will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, before the Council in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, located at 505 East Fifth Street South, Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
