MY NAME IS DEBBIE LAWSON-COGLE. I WENT TO BIG STONE GAP ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.IT WAS THE THREE STONE SCHOOL BUILDINGS.I MOVED AWAY IN 1971. MYFATHER AND MOTHER WERE EMMA AND WILLARD LAWSON.I HAVE 13 BROTHERS AND SISTERS. MY FATHER WAS A COAL MINER. HE WORKED 36 YRS.AT PRESCOTT #2 MINES IN RODA, VIRGINIA. WE LIVED AT 22ND STREET IN SOUTHERN BIG STONE GAP. I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH KAREN ROBERTS, TERESA LOVELL, BRENDA SIZEMORE, WAYNE LANE,ART JACKSON AND SO MANY MORE.ADRIANA TRIGIANA WAS A CLASSMATE OF OURS. I COME HOME TO BIG STONE GAP ONCE A YEAR.MY FONDEST MEMORIES WERE CRUISING THE COUNTRY BOY ON FRI AND SAT NITES. THE DRIVE IN AND POWELL VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL BALL GAMES. ENJOYED THE TRAIL OF THE LONESOME PINE DRAMA.I TAKE MY GRANDCHILDREN TO THE DRAMA TO UNDERSTAND OUR HERITAGE. OUR BUS TRIPS ON GREYHOUND TO OUR GRANDPARENTS HOUSE IN DRYDEN,VA. Hi, I am the 2nd daughter of the late James W. Boyd. He was a native of Big Stone Gap, VA and had a sister that went by the name Sissy. His father worked for the coal mine and I believe his mothers name was Alexander. I don't have many details because my parents married and divorced quickly, his second marriage. I would be very interested in any information about his first marriage and my older sister Jane/Janie possibly. He married a third time and had 2 sons and a daughter and they were living in St Louis, MO by my last account. Thank you, Linda
