LET’S GO FISHING! On Wednesday, May 27, 2009, the Big Cherry Reservoir was stocked with trout by the Town of Big Stone Gap. The reservoir is now open for fishing. A Big Cherry Watershed use permit, in addition to all appropriate state licenses, is required to fish in the Big Cherry Reservoir. Use permits may be obtained at the Town Hall, at Big Bore Outfitters, or from the Big Stone Gap police officer patrolling the watershed. For more information, please call the Town Hall at 523-0115. Farmers' Market The BSG Farmers' Market is scheduled for Saturdays from 8:00 AM-Noon every Saturday from May 2 until Oct. 31 - in the downtown parking lot across from the Fire Station on Shawnee Avenue - Rain or Shine.
